This succulent is known as the 'Lifesaver Cactus' and has oddly beautiful star-shaped blooms with zebra stripes and a succulent center. The blooms have also earned it the name 'Carrion Flower' because of the pungent smell, although it is relatively mild in this species. Huernias thrive when exposed to some direct sunlight and given a little neglect. Be sure to let them dry out completely in between waterings or when the leaves wrinkle.
