Our Response to the Pandemic

Dear plant lovers,

As we navigate this difficult time, we want to let you know how we are working to continue serving you.

Now and always, the well-being of our team and our community is our top priority. For that reason, we closed our tiny jungle on March 16. The good news is our online shop is always open, and we are delivering plants locally several times a week! 

We believe plants provide comfort, joy and beauty in a chaotic world. Now more than ever, the small business community needs your support. If you can, shop small and local. Support the people and businesses you love any way you can.

We are so grateful for the support you've shown us through these last few months. Until we can welcome you safely back into our shops, we are here for you and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Please contact us at hello@littleleafshop.com and read below for FAQs.

Can I pick up my plants?

Not quite yet.

Out of respect for the protests happening in our city we have decided to pause the launch of our store pickup hours. 

Please stay safe, and stay tuned for more updates about pickup hours in the coming week. 

How does pickup work?

We’re doing everything we can to minimize contact and keep our team and customers safe. When you arrive at the shop, please follow the posted instructions and give us a ring at the shop to confirm you are there for pickup. Kindly wear a mask, stand on the Xs, and keep 6’ between yourself and others. Our team member will place your order on the pickup table at the front of the shop. Once the order is there and our team member has stepped away you can pick it up. We’ll have plenty of hand sanitizer available to keep things germ free! 

I placed an order online. When will it be ready for pickup?

We’re working hard to get your orders ready as quickly as possible! In most cases this will take 2-4 business days. You’ll receive an email as soon as your order is ready for pickup. 

Why does it take this long?

Most of our products now live over at our warehouse in Northeast DC. Our team is working there safely behind the scenes to pack and prepare all orders. As soon as they are ready, we are bringing your orders across town to our 14th Street shop. We appreciate your patience! 

Can I swing by the shop + buy things in person?

Not yet. Per the current Phase One requirements, we are only allowed to offer items for pickup outside our shop that have been purchased in advance. 

If I want to add something to my order when I get to the shop, can I do that? 

Right now our shelves are a bit bare. If there is a specific product you’re looking for and we have it at the shop, we’d be happy to ring you up over the phone and add this item to your order. Please note that most items are not in stock at the shop right now. For that reason, we recommend you order all items online in advance.

What are you doing to keep your team safe?

We are fortunate to have a spacious warehouse to work from and keep your shipments flowing. We are following all CDC and local DC government guidelines, including working in small teams in staggered shifts to minimize our staff's risk, increased sanitization, and wearing masks. 

When will you reopen?

We're not sure yet. We are closely monitoring things and following local regulations. While being closed is creating a huge financial burden on us, we will not rush into any situation that unnecessarily exposes our team or our community.
